So, it's Friday and I am now faced with only the weekend with Josh before he goes back to school. He leaves on Monday so we'll be packing his stuff up over the weekend and trying to fit as much fun as we can into the few days we have left. We are fortunate to have a kid who is a joy to have around. For all those out there who aren't as blessed when their kids come home from college, you have my sympathy.
Ironically enough, I have sympathy card to share today. Go figure! This one is definitely more feminine than masculine.
The card base is Barely Banana layered with a slightly smaller panel of Neenah Solar White. I layered that with a piece of gray and another of pink designer paper from the Walk in the Park designer paper pack. The seam between the two is covered with a band of satin ribbon.
The medallion is made up of two Spellbinders die cut pieces of Barely Banana and the same white. I used Labels 1 and 3. the flowers from Sweet Dreams are stamped on the white piece with Old Olive and then I stamped the flowers from Printed Petals in both Basic Gray and Regal Rose on a scrap piece of the white. Those were punched out using the Itty Bitty Punch Pack and then adhered to the stamped stems with dimensionals with a little clear gem to dress them up a little. I tied a little piece of narrow white organdy ribbon around the white flower piece before mounting it on dimensionals to the Barely Banana die cut piece. The sentiment is stamped in Basic Gray and layered on Barely Banana.
