Sweet Baby Blue

Hello! I'm a little later than usual posting today I know. I meant to get this ready last night to post early this am, but I got sleepy and forgot... Sorry!

The card  is a baby card (duh!) that I made a couple of weeks ago when a good friend of mine became a Grandpa for the second time. It was a boy so I pulled out my baby blues and Delicate Dots DSP, a little fuzzy velvet ribbon and some scallop punches and went to work. So sweet, don't you think?

The card base is a 10 x 5 piece of light blue textured American Crafts CS folded and layered on a 5-1/4 square of Brocade Blue. The face of the card was layered with a couple pieces of the designer paper, a strip of white and another border-punched strip of So Saffron. The half circle and scallop circles are tucked just under the top edge of the white strip and the ribbon is tied around the whole card front. I stamped the Sweet One image on Whisper White with Bashful Blue, punched it with the scallop circle punch and popped it up on a dimensional so it would clear the knot in the ribbon. The sentiment is stamped with Bashful Blue as well then punched out with the small oval, layered on the medium oval of Bashful Blue and then again on a Brocade Blue scallop oval. These are all mounted flat on the card. Finally, I added tiny little blue gems to the stars on the Sweet One image. Boy or not, ya gotta have a little bling!
