Hello!
This week I'm featuring a set called Simply Soft.
This is one of those sets that is ideally suited to sympathy cards but I think it's got loads of potential for other things too.
My first card this week is a sympathy card, but I couldn't resist sharing this one with you as it's a CAS of one a good friend of mine did recently. It was such a pretty card, I just had to duplicate it in some way.
My second card has a little more snap and sass. I used bright colors - Melon Mambo and Pumpkin Pie with Crushed Curry liberally sponged over everything. I like how the Crushed Curry gives everything a bright glow. Sponging like this also has the side benefit of blending things together so that two-step stamping looks good even if things aren't perfectly aligned. (gee..that hardly ever happens right?)
Finally, my third card pulls together Wisteria Wonder and the new Smoky Slate. I have to admit, I wasn't sure how much I would really use the latter, but now that I have it, I really like it. It's a great color and it pairs with practically everything else in the SU! palette. Bonus!
I hope you have a fabulous week. See you next Monday!
