Thank U

Good morning!

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!  Mine was full of at-home projects on Saturday and the Stamp A Stack for the Troops event yesterday.
The latter went very well with 17 delightful stampers in attendance.

Thank you to Alvina and Twyla for helping me to set up and take down (I think we broke a record setting up in less than 10 minutes this year) and to Lynn and Crystal for bringing treats to share. I will post photos of the event later this week but thanks again to everyone who participated. You helped to finish 180 cards in all plus I have an additional 250 to add to this year's batch thanks to a clean up project in my stamp room. So, all in all, this will be a banner year for the Stamp A Stack!

Today, I have a thank you card to share. This is a parts and pieces card that used up a few of the leftovers from the card we made in my card class a few months back.

My card base is a half sheet of Early Espresso.
I layered a strip of Spice Cake DSP across the middle of the card and then layered 5 strips of DSP over a piece of Baronial Ivory cardstock.

Each long edge is trimmed with a punched strip. One of Pear Pizzazz that was punched with the scallop lace edge punch and another of Baronial Ivory that was punched with the EK Success braid punch. This piece was adhered to the card and then a piece of Pear Pizzazz seam binding ribbon was tied around the entire card.

Next, I stamped two leaves from the Day of Gratitude set using Certainly Celery and More Mustard ink. The thank you square is stamped with Chocolate Chip on Baronial Ivory, hand trimmed (leaves were hand trimmed too) and layered on a scalloped square (Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Squares) of Cool Caribbean.

Finally, the leaves are adhered directly to the card and the layered square is popped up on dimensionals.

Have a great day!
