Good morning and welcome to another new week!
I hope you all had a fabulous Easter. Ours was celebrated with our two boys and my oldest son's girlfriend. My dinner came together as hoped, I had a pretty table to go along with it and the sunshine made an appearance just about the time we sat down to eat. All in all, a good day. *smiles*
Today, I have a square card to share with you. I made it at the retreat I went to in February. I was dabbling with a couple of newer acrylic sets I have to see what I could create and this was one of the successes.
My card base is a 5-1/4 x 10-1/2 piece of Old Olive cs folded in half. Over that I layered a 5 x 3-1/4 folder embossed panel (Sizzix Awesome Blossoms EF) of Baja Breeze, a 2-1/4 x 5 panel of Dusty Durango and a 2 x 4-3/4 stamped panel (Hero Arts: Sweet Threads). The Dusty Durango piece and the stamped piece were adhered together and tied with ribbon before placing them on the card. I also added a layered sentement from SU!s Loving Thoughts.
The flowers were stamped and hand cut, distressed a bit so the petals would curve and layered together with foam dimensionals. The smaller flowers have yellow centers which I created using Itty Bitty Punch pack and I added a couple Little Leaf sprays to bring that Old Olive back into the picture. I folder embossed them with a Swiss dots embossing folder and then finished things off with gem centers in all the flowers.
Thanks for stopping in. Enjoy your day!
