Fabulous Retirement Wishes

Welcome!

I have a beautiful retirement card to share with you today that I 100% copied from my pal Lynn. She's very clever about putting floral designs together so I'm always happy to see what she comes up with, and of course copy her! So, thank you Lynn, for your inspiration!

The colors in this card are so fresh and pretty together don't you think?

The card base is a 5 x 10 piece of Neenah Baronial Ivory folded in half and folder embossed with a Cuttlebug Tapestry Texture folder. The lower section of the card below the stamped and layered panel is not embossed however as the folder doesn't reach that far.
The stamped panel along the bottom is done with So Saffron, Certainly Celery and Memento Lilac Posies ink and is layered on a slightly larger piece of So Saffron.

The flower is, of course, the real show stopper here and is done with 4 generations of the Lilac Posies ink and one second generation of So Saffron for the center flower.A little pf the Lilac Posy ink is sponged in the center of the So Saffron flower to pink it up a bit and tie it into the rest of the flower. I hand trimmed all the layers then adhered them together with foam dimensionals before coating them with 2 way glue and a liberal dusting of glitter.
The swirls are die cut using Sizzix Sizzlets - Flourishes 10 and 11 and also got a dash of glitter. They are adhered to the card with mini glue dots.
Finally, the sentiment is stamped with the Lilac Posies ink on ivory, punched with the Word Window punch and popped up on a couple of foam dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by today! Happy Wednesday!
