Good morning!
Today I have a fun Easter treat packet idea for you. This was the project that my class did last week and they really seemed to like them. It helps that they are simple to make and have lots of fun elements to them.
We started with a 3 x 12 piece of Everyday Enchantment DSP scored at 5-1/2 and 6-1/2 inches. This piece was folded along the score lines to form a 1 inch "bottom". A small gusseted bag filled with chocolate eggs was tucked inside and then the top edges were stapled shut.
Next, we folder embossed one half of a 2 x 8-1/2 inch strip of Wild Wasabi with Stampin' Up!s Elegant Lines embossing folder. This piece was folded in half and added to the packet as a topper and tied with a piece of turquoise satin ribbon to hold the pieces together. The added benefit to doing it this way is that you can just slip the ribbon and topper off and the lucky recipient doesn't have to destroy the whole package to get at the candy. *smiles*
The label on the front is a 2 inch circle of Neenah Baronial Ivory stamped with the vine from Fresh Vintage and "Happy Easter" from Close to my Heart's Say it in Style. We used Lucky Limeade ink for the vine and Memento Rich Cocoa for the sentiment. We also stamped the flowers from Language of Friendship on Cool Caribbean with Memento Rich Cocoa. The flowers were punched with the Boho Blossoms punch and then added to the ivory circle with foam dimensionals and glue dots. This piece was layered on a 2-1/2 inch scallop circle of Cool Caribbean and then adhered to the embossed topper. A few gems finish everything off.
Thanks for stopping in today!
