Frosty's Wishes

Happy New Year!!!

I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas holiday and are ready for a fresh new year.
To get things off to a great start, I have another reminder to make sure you enter your name into the contest for one of four spots in my 2013 Card of the Month Club. I'll be drawing the 4 lucky winners on the 14th of this month and today's card is a sneak peek at what January has in store. CLICK HERE NOW to enter your comment on my original post for the contest.  Tell your friends too! Think what a hero you'd be if one of them won because, really, who doesn't love FREE cards?
January's card will go out on the 15th, but for now, here's what went into making it:

The card base is a half sheet of Basic Gray. I cut a 4-1/4 x 3 piece of striped paper from the Twitterpated DSP collection and trimmed the top edge with a Ridinghood Red punched edge. The edge was done with my Fiskars Threading Water edge punch and the strip was adhered to the reverse side of the striped paper and then to the card.
Next, I cut a 2-1/2x 4 panel of Neenah Solar White and a 2-3/4 x 4-1/4 panel of Baja Breeze to layer it on. The tree and snowman were both stamped on the white panel with Basic Gray ink. The sentiment was stamped on a scrap of white and punched with a 1-1/2 inch circle punch. It is layered on a scallop circle of Ridinghood Red.  The snowman and sentiment letters were colored with markers and the snowman was glittered with 2-way glue and Dazzling Diamonds glitter. I also stamped first and second generation Baja Breeze snowflakes in the upper left corner of the snowman panel before adhering it to the Baja Breeze panel and to the card. Finally, the sentiment is popped up on a couple small dimensionals.
