Good morning!
Wow, am I ever glad it's Friday! This has been a whirlwind of a week. Insanely busy at work and here at home, and lots to do this weekend too. I'm not sure how much stamping I'll get in but I've got my fingers crossed that I get a little time. *smiles*
Today's card is a Thinking Of You that uses one of my favorite SU! papers of all time and a set that really never seems to go out of style.
I started with a half sheet of Ridinghood Red and layered it with a couple smaller rectangles and one longer strip of DSP from the now retired Bella Rose collection.
I trimmed a couple of the pieces with a punched edge of Chocolate Chip before adhering them to the face of the card.
Next, I used my Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Ovals to cut an oval of Neenah Solar White and another scalloped oval of Chocolate Chip.
With the die still in place, I lightly sponged inside the frame it provides with Ridinghood Red ink then stamped the sentiment in Basic Brown and mounted it on the scalloped oval.
Next, I stamped a couple small stems directly along the right edge of the white oval with Kiwi Kiss ink and on a scrap of white stamped the rose, leaves and buds with Kiwi Kiss and Ridinghood Red 1st and 2nd generation ink. The latter were hand trimmed then adhered to the oval with glue dots and dimensionals.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone. Thanks for dropping in!
