So, now for today's card.
We did these for my October card class and the group seemed to like the little peekaboo window idea.
The card base is a half sheet of Kraft cut 4-1/4 x 11 and folded in half.
We punched a scallop circle out of the front of the card to create a little window for our flowers.
The flower is done in several layers and a trio of colors. We stamped the Quintessential Flower twice in Cherry Cobbler and once each in Pumpkin Pie and Dusty Durango.
Next, we punched the Dusty Durango flower with the 1-3/4 scallop punch and again with the 2-1/2 inch scallop punch. One of the Cherry cobbler flowers was punched with the 2-1/2 inch scallop punch and a smaller 1-1/2 inch scallop punch. The other was punched with the 1-3/4 scallop punch and a 5/8 inch circle punch. Finally, the Pumpkin Pie flower is punched with a 1 inch circle punch.
Assembly is as follows:
The two punched Dusty Durango pieces are adhered to the outer rim of the front window and centered in the window to the inside of the card. The larger scalloped rim of the Cherry Cobbler flower was adhered around the center scallop circle on the inside of the card and the smaller scalloped circle is popped up on foam dimensionals in the center. The Pumpkin Pie circle is added next on another layer of dimensionals with a gold brad in the center.
The DP strip is trimmed with a punched Cherry Cobbler border and adhered to the left edge of the card. The sentiment was stamped with Cherry Cobbler along the bottom right and the smallest Cherry Cobbler circle was added with a gold brad in the center along the bottom of the DP strip.
Have a great day everyone, and don't forget to enter the 2013 Card of the Month contest!
