Good morning and welcome back!
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!
We had a terrific day with our boys and some dear friends and enjoyed a typical Thanksgiving feast. I think it's safe to say we have pretty much had our fill of leftovers, but it's also been lovely not to have to do much cooking after a holiday like this one!
So, now that I'm all rested and in the holiday spirit, I have a lineup of Christmas cards to share over the next several posts.
Today's card begins with a 5 x 10 piece of Bazzill Pomegranate Splash smooth cardstock folded and backed with a 5-1/4 square of Soft Suede.
I layered the front with a 4-3/4 panel of DP from Echo Park's This & That Christmas collection, as well as a strip of polka dot print and a die cut flower of some other prints from the same.
Everything was sponged around the edges with Soft Suede ink before adhering in place.
The letters are cut using Cricut cartridge Base Camp and were cut from a Creative Imaginations musical DP. The edges were sponged here too. I tied a bit of thin twine around the "J" and backed the "O" with a piece of plaid dp for contrast then adhered all the letters to the card.
I couple of punched primitive stars were punched from the Pomegranate Splash and a scrap of the plaid print from the DP collection, glued together and then popped up on dimensionals over the knot in the twine.
A gem in the center of the star, a few more along the bottom right corner of the card, and a few swirls finish the whole thing off.
Thanks for stopping in!
