Good morning!
Monday already, can you believe it?
My weekend was full of fun beginning with a houseful of fun, creative ladies on Saturday and ending with a little quality stamping time with my pal Alvina yesterday. She taught me how to make that stunning ornament that's gracing the cover of the SU! Winter mini. WOW! So fun to make and really much simpler than it looks. Time consuming though so only a select, and very special, few will be getting them as gifts this year!
Today's card is my second, and last nod to Halloween. I stumbled on the photo for this card when I was clearing off my computer and realized I'd never posted it last year. So, here we go!
The card base is a 5 x 10 piece of Pumpkin Pie folded in half and layered on a 5-1/4 square of Basic Black.
I layered two strips of DP together with a punched strip of Basic Black and a bit of orange ric rac ribbon and then adhered them to the center of the card.
The stamped panel is a piece of Neenah Solar White. I stamped the tree first in Basic Black along with the bird and the sentiment (on a separate scrap of white) and sponged both with Summer Sun.
The sun is done with Summer Sun and Tangerine Tango. I inked the circle stamp from the now retired Little Shapes set with Summer Sun, tapped Tangerine Tango around the perimeter to give it that darker rim then stamped it over the branches of the tree.
Both the tree and sentiment pieces are layered on Basic Black and Green Galore and adhered to the card with dimensionals.
Thanks for wandering my way today. See you Wednesday!
