Good morning!
I hope everyone had a nice weekend. Mine was kinda lazy as I was trying to get over that nasty head cold I had, but I think that's mostly behind me now. Of course I went to bed with the chickens every night for the last week so that may have something to do with it! LOL! I did get some solid stamping time in over the weekend too though and as a result have two new classes coming up in December and February. I'll have another in January as well, but I haven't quite finished the sample for that yet so stay tuned.
In the mean time, how about today's card?
I started with a half sheet of Always Artichoke folded in half. Over that, I layered a quarter sheet trimmed of a natural ivory cs I found at Anchor Paper. My apologies for the vague description but if I can figure out what the paper manufacturer and actual color is, I'll edit my post. *Smiles*
Anywhoo...I roller wheeled this piece with River Rock ink and the now retired Jumbo Poinsettia wheel and then wrapped the upper part of it with a strip of lace ribbon before adhering it to the card.
Next, I folder embossed a smaller panel of the same natural colored cs using my Sizzix Frost folder and then set it, and the piece of Mellow Moss I layered it on aside for a bit.
The ornaments are from Ornament Keepsakes and is stamped on Neenah Solar white with Always Artichoke ink. I used the coordinating Ornament Framelets to cut both out and added a couple small foam dimensionals between the two to give the finished ornament a little height. A pearl in the center added one more bit of dimension.
The twine bow was tied around the neck of the ornament and another piece tacked to the back side and then wrapped over the top edge of that folder embossed piece before the whole thing was adhered to the Mellow Moss panel.
I used foam dimensionals to mount this piece to the card and then finished it all off with the sentiment which was stamped directly on the rolled background piece.
Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to check out the new classes if you're in the area and interested!
