Thank you for stopping by today and for your patience while I was on a little mini-hiatus.
I am still sorting out the details of my accident but some things are finally falling into place. So...I guess you could say I feel a little like celebrating!
Today's card is a fun little number that I put together a couple of weeks ago. I had the rosette on hand from a quick little tutorial that I'd done for a friend so decided I should do something with it.
My card base is a 5-1/4 x 10-1/2 piece of Peach Parfait folded to 5-1/4 square.
My background is a trio of DP and cardstock layers. I also used a combination of punches, edge dies and corner rounders to finish each one off. The designer papers used are from Fancy Pants Designs (Summer's End assortment) and My Minds Eye: Stella Rose Mabel's papers assortment.
The first layer is a panel of DP cut 4-1/2 x 5. I cut two strips of Neenah Baronial Ivory using a Taylored Expressions large scallop border die. The next two layers are smaller panels layered on Peach Parfait and Soft Suede respectively. I edged one long edge of the Peach Parfait using the Scallop Edge border punch and rounded two corners of the Soft Suede piece.
Next, I adhered the rosette in place along the right edge of the card. The sentiment was stamped with Soft Suede on Neenah Baronial Ivory hand trimmed and layered on both Soft Suede and Peach Parfait. One end is tucked under the rosette and a trio of hand tied buttons finish the whole thing off.
