Violet Vogue Celebration

Happy Friday!
So, do you have something fabulous planned for the weekend?!?
Actually, after last weekend, I'm ready to just work on projects around home. My house is still relatively clean but I am seriously behind on cards so I think I'm going to take some time to remedy that.

So, on to today's card...
I started with a half sheet trimmed of Lavendar Lace. I was a little surprised I still had any left, but when you consider the size of my stash...okay, not so strange after all. I layered the front of the card with two bands of background paper from a Pink Paislee collection called Vintage Vogue and tied a bit of soft pink satin ribbon over the seam then layered it on a quarter sheet of Elegant Eggplant.
The three little flower panels are all done with scraps of pinks and lavender, a couple of punches and a SU! embossing folder (Square Lattice). I punched all the flowers, adhered them to small rectangles of Neenah Baronial Ivory and Elegant Eggplant and then ran them through the embossing folder to get that pressed flower look. A clear flower button in the middle of each one adds a little somethin' and the little "celebrate" tag finishes it all off. The latter was stamped in Melon Mambo on ivory, punched with a 1-1/8 inch circle punch and then layered on a 1-1/4 inch circle of Melon Mambo. I actually adhered the sentiment to the back of one of the pressed flower pieces before I adhered them all to the card.

Thanks for dropping by! Have a great weekend!
