Good morning and happy Friday!
Today I have a card to share with you that makes me think of English meadows, flower gardens and the like. The girly side of me can't help thinking how fun it would be to have a birthday celebration smack dab in the middle of a flower garden. Somehow I don't think all the "boys" in my life would agree with me!
So, on to the card.
My card base is a half sheet (cut lengthwise) of Kraft cardstock. I layered a 4 x 5-1/4 panel of K & Company DP from the Susan Winget Meadow collection.
Next, I cut a narrow strip of a coordinating pattern and added a punched border of So Saffron along one edge. I used the Scallop Lace border punch for that and then punched several flowers using an assortment of small and large daisy punches (EK Success) and the 5 petal punch from Stampin' Up!. Leaves were created by punching and cutting apart a couple of larger daisies out of Wild Wasabi cardstock. Flowers and leaves were distressed with an embossing tool and foam mat then layered and held together with coordinating brads. A few glue dots adhere the leaves and flowers to the card.
Finally, the sentiment (Stampendous-Birthday Messages) was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa ink on Neenah Baronial Ivory and layered on Wild Wasabi. I tucked it into the blossoms a little and used foam dimensionals to adhere it to the card.
Thanks for dropping in today! Have a fabulous weekend!
