Good morning everyone!
I hope all the Moms out there had a wonderful Mother's Day. My boys (all 3 of them) made mine very special in their own way and we had a very nice dinner together last night too.
Today's card is one I did for the daughter of a friend for her birthday which is coming up. The template for this one came from a fun new book I found recently called Fabulous Folds for Card Making. This book has lots of great ideas for different card folds and the instructions are easy to follow.
My card base is a 6 inch square of Summer Sun. I stamped the face of it in Memento Tuxedo Black with Fifth Avenue Floral. The pop up tab which is a layered piece of Neenah Solar White and Basic Black was also stamped with the same flower in Summer Sun ink. The sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black as well.
The front panel is a four layer piece of Basic Black, designer paper(My Minds eye Lime Twist Out of the Blue), Real Red and Neenah Solar White. The white panel was folder embossed using the Elegant Lines embossing folder and the flower was stamped on a separate piece of white, colored with Copics and hand trimmed.
Finally, to bling it up a bit I added red rhinestones to the centers of the flowers on the card front.
Here is a photo of what it looks like when you pull on the tab at the top revealing the inside verse.
Thanks for stopping by today!
