Happy Friday everyone!
Tomorrow is our son Joshua's 20th birthday (GASP!) so Rich and I are both reeling a bit at the prospect that our teenager is no longer a teenager and both he and his brother are doing their level best to grow up before our very eyes. Oh how time flies!
Josh's passions include art, (specifically drawing) and movies of most any genre so for his card this year, I pulled together a few things to match his style.
My card base is a half sheet (cut lengthwise) of Crushed Curry folded and stamped on the diagonal with the file strip from Camera Captions in Basic Black. This is a SU! set that has been retired for quite some time but I dusted it off and gave it a little spin.
The center panel is a triple layer of Stardreams Charcoal, Ridinghood Red and Neenah Baronial Ivory. I stamped several stars from Starring You in Crushed Curry along the top portion of the Ivory piece and then added the Happy Birthday sentiment in Ridinghood Red along the bottom half. This piece was adhered to the card with foam dimensionals and then decked out with a scattering of Crushed Curry, Ridinghood Red and Not Quite Navy punched stars and Crystal Stickers gems. Some of the stars are adhered directly to the card and others are popped up on dimensionals.
Finally, the ticket strip is a pieced together strip of tickets cut from a My Minds Eye Miss Caroline Dilly Dally DP pack. I accordian folded them once I had them glued together and then adhered them to the card so that some of the tickets flipped up.
thanks for stopping in today!
Have a great weekend
