Good morning and Welcome to a new week!
I hope you all enjoyed your weekend as much as I did.
Rich
and I celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary on Friday with a stay in
Stillwater, MN followed by a day of wandering through the annual Art
Fair. It's hard to believe we've actually been married that long, but
then, he's pretty much a saint for putting up with me all these years.
LOL!
Today's
card is another anniversary card I did recently for Rich's parents. I
put a little extra effort into this one but judging by the reaction it
got when they opened it, it was all worth it!
I
started with a 5-1/4 x 10-1/2 inch piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock
folded in half. The front is layered with three equal sized strips of DP
from Echo Park's This & That Graceful assortment followed by a
lacy Neenah Solar White circle cut with the largest Spellbinders Floral
Doily Motifs die.
The stamped sentiment is also Neenah Solar White
and is stamped with Always Artichoke and die cut with the Spellbinders
Classic Circles die. I popped it up on dimensionals so it wasn't so flat
looking.
The leaves are cut from two colors of cardstock (Always
Artichoke and Old Olive) using the Sizzix Branches with Leaves die. I
cut a couple sprays of each and then clipped them into pieces to fit
where I needed them.
The flowers are die cut using the Floral
Fusion dies, are shaped with an embossing tool and held together with
Saffron yellow brads or glue dots. The smallest flowers have small
yellow gems in the center. Everything is adhered with glue dots.
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great day!
