Good morning and welcome to the end of another week!
Our weekend is going to be busy but I hope all of you Moms out there have a beautiful day!
Today's card is the anniversary card I made for Rich. Shhhhhh...it's a secret!) Our anniversary is next week and lo and behold, I managed to get his card done early this time.
I started with a 5-1/4 x 10-1/2 inch piece of Certainly Celery folded in half. The front is layered with a combination of folder embossed Perfect Plum cardstock and a couple smaller pieces of designer paper from the Cottage Wall assortment. I also added a piece of ruffled ribbon along the bottom and a soft pink bow for a little added texture.
Our happy couple (that's Rich and me by the way...thin...just like that...Yeah right!)are part of the A Kids View collection from Bugaboo Stamps. They're printed on Neenah Solar White, colored with Copics and layered on Certainly Celery. The sentiment is from CTMH and is stamped on Neenah Solar White with Memento Tuxedo Black and hand trimmed into the little banner.
The hearts are die cut using Spellbinders hearts and scallop hearts and are cut from Pirouette Pink, Bazzill Lavendar, and Certainly Celery.
Once I reached the rest of the assembly stage, the main image was placed first with foam dimensionals to pop it off the card a bit, then the hearts, followed by the sentiment banner. To finish it all off, I added a bit of pink bling on the hearts and along the top edge of the couple's square panel.
And, for those of you who are wondering, the inside says, "to be loved by you".
Thanks for wandering my way today. Have a wonderful weekend!
Happy Mother's Day!
