Mother's Bloom

Good morning!
Today I'm sharing a little Mother's Day inspiration with you. I have my usual monthly card class at work next week and our theme is Mother's Day so I've been pondering ideas for what we can do. This card is a CASE of one I found in a book I recently received called Fabulous Folds for Card Making by House of White Birches. The flower in the center is made of circle punches using one of the prints from the now retired Raspberry Tart DSP.

My card base is a 5-1/4 x 10-1/2 piece of Old Olive folded in half and stamped with the flower spray from True Friend in Old Olive. The interior is lined with white so it's easier to write in.
My background panel for the flower is a 4-1/2 inch square of Rose Red layered with a 4-1/4 inch square of DSP from the same Raspberry Tart DSP assortment.

The flower, as I said, is created using 8 punched circles. They are tea-bag folded to form the petals and arranged in a circle on the background panel.
A large pearl brad (Martha Stewart) in the center provides a spot to hang my Mother tag from. The latter is stamped with Rich Razzleberry on Neenah Solar White, hand trimmed and layered on Rose Red. A bit of gold cord ties it to the brad.

Thanks for popping in today!
