Today, I thought I would share a little of my Easter with you. Well, my Easter table anyway.
We had a small gathering this year that included our two boys and our oldest son Daniel's girlfriend Mercedes. My table was fairly simple but I dressed things up a bit with individual place tags for each of us. The tags were decidedly girly, but I was going for something fresh and rosy and was very pleased with the results. I paired them with celery green napkins, white china, and a trio of glass cylinders that I filled with flowers and one small votive candle. The photo above shows how I arranged everything at each place, and the photo below is just a closeup of the flowers. They were so fresh and pretty, I just had to share!
So, on to the tags...
I started with a 5.5x2.75 piece of Crumb Cake cardstock and rounded two of the corners on one end. Next I layered a slightly two panels of designer paper from the October Afternoon Sidewalks collection on the front and covered the seam between the two with a little yellow satin ribbon.
The leaves are diecut with a Sizzlet Branch With Leaves die and the flowers are done with punches.
I punched three large pink flowers with the Punch Blossom punch using up some miscellaneous pieces of Cameo Coral, Regal Rose and Pink Pirouette. I also punched two small yellow daisies for each rose and one smaller flower from Pink Pirouette. All of the flowers were then distressed, shaped and then stacked. A coral pink brad in the center holds them all together.
Finally, I hand wrote all the names, layered them on Regal Rose cs and used dimensionals to adhere them to the tag.
Thanks for stopping in! I hope you had a wonderful Easter!
