Paper Rose Birthday

Good morning!

Today's card is the second installment in my strange-embelli trio from last weekend.

For this card, I used paper towels to make the flowers. Remember, I was looking for unusual things to embellish my card with.

The card base is a 5-1/4 x 10-1/2 piece of Pirouette Pink layered with Early Espresso and Fancy Pants Designs Winterland DP.
I also put together a smaller panel of Pirouette Pink, Early Espresso and striped DP from the same paper pack, tied it with pale pink organdy ribbon and adhered it in place.
Next, I diecut 16 paper towel flowers using my Sizzix Birds & Blooms large flower die and two sprays of leaves using the Little Leaves die. I also punched two Pirouette Pink flowers with a small daisy punch. The paper towel flowers were sponged with Cameo Coral ink and then secured with the small daisies and red rhinestone brads. I used large glue dots to secure them to the card over the leaf sprays.
Finally, I stamped the Happy Birthday medallion with Memento Rich Cocoa on Neenah Solar White, punched it with a 1-1/2 inch circle punch and then sponged the edges with Ridinghood Red ink. This piece is layered on a Spellbinders Eyelet Circle of Early Espresso and then adhered to the card with dimensionals.

Next up... Happy Birthday Dixie (cup)!
