Friday's A Golf Day...or so I'm told...

Happy Friday!
I'm giving you a double header today with two golf-themed birthday cards. I'm told Friday is "the golf day". Whatever that means...I'll play along. Personally, I'm happy to play golf no matter what the day of the week is! My clubs live somewhere in my backyard shed and dream of someday seeing the light of day...

So, for all you golfers...here we go!

The stamp set for both of these is the now retired The Back Nine.
My first card is a half sheet of Bazzill Olive. I paired a panel of October Afternoon Seaside plaid with a slightly larger panel of Night of Navy and trimmed to top left corner with a little hand trimmed flag of the same green, a 1/2 inch circle of the navy and a little gold brad. I bent it with my fingers slightly to give it a "wave" and popped a dimensional under the curve to keep it that way.
The stamped panels are both done with Night of Navy ink on Neenah Baronial Ivory and layered on Night of Navy and/or the olive. I colored both pieces with my Copics so they'd coordinate with the colors in the plaid DP a little more.
The larger of the two is adhered directly to the plaid panel which is then adhered to the card and the golf bag is popped up on dimensionals.

The second card starts with a half sheet of Night of Navy. I adhered a strip of October Afternoon Seaside blue plaid along the folded edge and then layered a panel of My Mind's Eye Stella Rose Hattie paper with More Mustard and trimmed that with a Night of Navy hand cut flag in the top right corner.
The stamped piece and the sentiment are both done with Night of Navy on Neenah Baronial Ivory. The image is layered on Baja Breeze and mounted to the card with foam dimensionals. I colored the flag with my More Mustard marker. Note, I wrapped the ribbon around the card before adhering the stamped piece in place.
Finally, the three little golf balls are made with three ivory 7/8 inch circles and a Sizzix Dots embossing folder. I rounded the edges of all three back slightly too so they would look rounded and popped them up on dimensionals so they'd stay that way.

Have a great weekend and...Fore!
