Good morning!
I hope everyone had a good weekend. Rich and I went out to a little local winery yesterday for a wine tasting and pizza lunch. Our wedding anniversary is on Wednesday so this was our little pre-celebration and it was lots of fun. Plus we had a somewhat sunny day so that was a treat too!
Today I have a quick card to share with you. The punches have it on this one, and except for the time it took to hand trim that little bird, the whole thing went together pretty rapidly.
The card base is a half sheet of Baja Breeze that I scored along one edge using my Martha Stewart scoreboard. On the left, I layered a panel of striped DSP from the Parisian Breeze assortment with a punched strip of Neenah Solar White. The strip was punched with the Martha Stewart Arch Lattice punch and adhered to the back of the striped panel.
Next, I layered a thin strip of polkadot DSP with a slightly wider strip of Chocolate Chip. I left the DSP a little long on one end, folded it back on itself and then tapered the corners. The buckle loop is attached to this flap and then the ribbon is threaded through and wrapped around to the back.
The branch is stamped on Neenah Solar White with Chocolate Chip and then trimmed to fit the Chocolate Chip punched scallop rectangle. The bird was stamped on a scrap of white, hand trimmed and adhered with a glue dot. Finally, the thinking of you sentiment is stamped on white and punched with a 1 inch circle punch then layered on a 1-1/8 inch circle of Baja Breeze and a die-cut scallop circle of Chocolate Chip. The sentiment is adhered to the card with a dimensional.
Thanks for stopping by!
