Heartfelt Sympathy Trees

Good morning!
I hope you had a great weekend. I managed to fit in some stamping time while I watched the rest of Mad Men Season 2. (OMG I am SO seriously hooked on that show!) We also checked out a new church yesterday which was kind of nice. Saturday, I bought one of the new McGill flower petal punches to play with and am now hooked on that! I love the look you get with paper flowers and the McGill punches really give you great results.  I'll have some cards to share later so stay tuned!
Today's card is a sympathy card that I did for a friend of mine at work when her father passed away. The card base is a 5 x 10 inch piece of Sahara Sand layered on a 5.25 square of Chocolate Chip. I covered the front of the card with two pieces of designer paper from the Brocade Background pack. The trees (Lovely as a Tree) are stamped with Always Artichoke on Neenah Baronial Ivory and then layered on Chocolate Chip. I paper pierced the corners and then used foam dimensionals to pop it off the card a bit. The sentiment is stamped with Chocolate Chip directly on the designer paper and the 3 antique brass brads are paired with 3 half inch punched circles of designer paper. To finish it off, i used a clear glaze pen to add a little shimmer to the trees.

Thanks for stopping in!
