Here it is Monday already. I'm not sure where my weekend went, but I spent a bunch of it at the mall yesterday with Josh. I wanted my one day with him all to myself and being the good sport that he is, he agreed to shopping and a movie. Gotta love a kid who will go shopping with his mother just because he knows it's something I enjoy!
I rewarded him with some art supplies so it wasn't all about me!
Today I have an anniversary card to share with you. I used a couple of different stamp sets on this one and several different patterns from the Thoroughly Modern DSP pack. I still say the color combo in that assortment is a little odd, but maybe that's just my take. Anyway, I started with a half sheet of Bermuda Bay trimmed to fit a quarter sheet of Soft Suede then I layered it with a few different sizes and shapes of the designer paper. To add a little interest, I paper pierced in the corners. The center swirly piece is stamped with Sahara Sand on Neenah Solar White then cut with Spellbinders Labels 9 and layered on a die cut piece of Bermuda Bay. The large flower and the dotted panel are also stamped with Sahara Sand. I hand trimmed the flower and layered the dotted panel on Sahara Sand. "Cherish" is stamped directly on the dotted panel but the two little Soft Suede flowers are stamped and punched with the Boho Blossoms punch. The trio of Bermuda Bay flowers were punched with the 3 For You flower punch. Those and the two Soft Suede flowers are mounted on dimensionals and the centers were each given a little gem bling to finish them off. Note: for the assembly, the ribbon is tied around the card front prior to putting the swirly die cut piece and all of the other layers on.
