Pink Confection

Happy Friday!
Today I have a really girly birthday card to share with you. I bought this Doodlebug set ages ago and sadly, it hasn't seen much use since then. I'm not sure why really when it's such a cute set!
This card is sort of a symphony of pinks. The card base is Pirouette Pink. I stamped a Regal Rose lineup of "happy" along the right side and then stamped the cake, candles and "Birthday" on Neenah Solar White with Memento Tuxedo Black. I colored the cake, candles and a couple of the letters in the sentiment with Copics and then gave the candles and cake some extra sparkle with glue and colored glitter. Both pieces were trimmed and layered on Regal Rose. I used a scallop scissors to give the sentiment a scallop edge and used it again on the cake piece to invert the corners. The scallop square behind the cake is cut with Spellbinders classic scallop squares and adhered directly to the card. I tied the ribbon next and then used dimensionals to adhere the other two pieces in place. Way girly, but fun!

Have a great weekend!
