Buttoned Up Love

Good morning!
I hope you all had a great weekend. We had an unexpected visit from Josh which was nice because it also prompted an afternoon with number one son Dan. All in all, not a bad way to spend an afternoon!

This week I'm in countdown mode for a stamping retreat this next weekend. I'm super excited to be going but of course, I'm nowhere near packed. Half the battle there is deciding what I'm going to work on!
Today I have an anniversary card to share with you. This card started with a half sheet of Chocolate Chip. I layered the front with a couple of pieces of Sending Love DSP and then scalloped the edge of a strip of Neenah Baronial Ivory. I wrapped a length of chocolate grosgrain ribbon around that lengthwise and then adhered the two just below the middle. The bow is attached with a glue dot and decked out with a wax thread tied button.  The sentiment is stamped with Chocolate Chip and Melon Mambo and cut with one of the smaller ovals from Spellbinders Petite Ovals large. Finally, since the card base is so dark, I lined it with a panel of ivory.

Thanks for stopping in!
