Good morning!
I'm having one of those funny moments where real life is intersecting with art. As I sit here in my jammies sipping coffee I'm looking out at my completely buried deck thinking, please Lord let it be done snowing. We had a mammoth blizzard yesterday and we're more than a little snowed in. That, and it's COLD! Buster (our dog) thinks it's great fun to bound through the snow, but when it gets this deep, lifting the leg can be a challenge. Sorry...I just think that's ridiculously funny.
Anyway, this card is so, so appropriate I couldn't help but post it today.
The adorable Imaginesce paper is leftover from my friend Twyla's Christmas cards but I absolutely love those little hats and I dusted off the Felt Flurries and Build a Brads for this one too. Here's a detail shot so you can see where I went with those. How stinkin' cute is that?!?!

I used one of the little hats in the brad. |
The card base is a 5.25 x 10.5 piece of Baja Breeze that I layered with the Imaginesce paper. This particular design duo is called Polar Expressions and Pine & Peppermint. Next, punched a strip of Real Red using the Threading Water edge punch (Fiskars) and layered that with a strip of Chocolate Chip. The ribbon is wrapped around these two pieces and then the whole thing is adhered to the card. The Build a Brad uses one of the little hats from the Polar Expressions paper and I used that to hold the two Felt Flurries snowflakes together. They're mounted to the card with a big glue dot. Finally, the sentiment (Hero Arts -Merry Holiday Borders) is stamped with Real Red on Neenah Solar White, hand trimmed and then adhered to the card with small glue dots on the ends and a foam dimensional in the middle so it would wave a little.
Stay warm everyone!
