I hope you all had a great weekend. I toodled on up to Duluth for the day and spent some time with Josh. He needed some supplies for an art project, so we went and picked that up and spent a little time wandering the mall. It was nice to see him and spend some time but I tried to keep it relatively short too because he's got a fair bit of homework to get through before the end of the semester and finals.
Yesterday I was more than a little sluggish about doing anything but I did play a little and I had plans to have a posting ready for you yesterday, but our internet provider went down and I wasn't able to. Sorry! Sometimes life works like that I guess.
Today I have a sympathy card to share with you. I went with a monochromatic yellow and ivory color scheme and a few classy details.
The card is a half sheet of So Saffron. I layered together a rectangle of Barely Banana and a slightly smaller piece of designer paper from the Walk in the Park DSP pack and then added a scalloped border along the left edge. This piece was mounted to the card near the top so that I had room to stamp the sentiment along the bottom. The ivory embossed strip was done with the Cuttlebug Tapestry Texture folder and I tied a piece of ivory ribbon around lengthwise before adhering it to the card. Finally, I stamped the flower in So Saffron, hand trimmed it and layered it on Barely Banana then Stardreams Opal.
Thanks for stopping in today!
