Scandia Snow

Good morning!
It's another crisp morning here today and I'm off pretty quick to drop Josh off to catch his bus back to college. It was so great to have him here for the weekend - hopefully he got the little bit of home-love he was looking for. I did my best to spoil him a little and what says I love you more than a whole family-sized bag of Twizzlers for the bus ride? He's also going back with a pan of cinnamon rolls, a jar of jelly from his grandmother and a load of clean laundry. Oh, and I plan on throwing in a couple Mom hugs too! (yes, I admit it...those are for me). Anyway, I
think I might just make it until the 22nd and parent weekend now. lol!

So, in light of the nip in the air, today's card is something just a little frosty and more than a little Scandinavian.  My mother in law would love this one!
The card base is a 5-1/4x8 piece of Neenah Baronial Ivory.  I stamped two of the snowflakes from Serene Snowflakes in Ridinghood Red and Baja Breeze and then  layered that on a quarter sheet of Bayou Blue. Next, I centered a piece of Ridinghood Red and then wrapped a piece of ribbon around the length of the card. The nice thing about this is that,  if you're a bit of a ribbon miser, you don't use as much ribbon because you 1)aren't tying a knot or bow, and 2) you can cut it just long enough to tuck and cover the ends. Next, I stamped snowflakes in Baja Breeze and Ridinghood Red on a smaller piece of the ivory and layered that on Bayou Blue. Finally, the largest snowflake was stamped with Bayou Blue on ivory and layered on Baja Breeze. I added a couple punched Ridinghood Red snowflakes and the sentiment and a gem to finish it all off.

Thanks for  stopping in! Have a great day!
