Good morning and happy, happy Friday!
Tomorrow I have a bunch of crafty ladies coming over to make Christmas cards, and I can't wait! Actually, I have all of mine done already but that was pretty much by design. With as many stampers as I am expecting, I know I'll spend a lot of the day running up and down the stairs to grab that "one more thing" that someone forgot or ran out of so it's easier if I'm already geared up to be the runner! There was supposed to be two of us (ahem!) doing the running, but someone (ahem!) wasn't able to get her patookus over here to do hers ahead of time. I won't rat her out completely...she knows who she is! LOL!!!
So, I suppose you're wondering why I don't have another Christmas card to share today since that's the theme for tomorrow. Well, I do have a bunch more to share but I also have a few like this one, some Halloween-themed things and (gasp!) even a few birthday cards finally!
I did this card for our son Josh last week just before he decided to make a trip home for the weekend. I mailed it on Thursday and he was home the next day so my timing was a bit off, but he'd been having a rough couple of days so I wanted to send him a little love from home. I just got this set in the mail and I absolutely LOVE it. It's called Puppy Love, and it's from There She Goes stamps. They have some really cute stamps but I just love the little dogs in this one. So stinkin' cute! Not only that, but this set has a whopping 39 stamps in it!
Anyway, I forgot to take a photo of the inside but I kept it really simple and stamped the "love you" sentiment, which incidentally, is about the same size as the "miss you" on a scrap of white, punched it out with a 5/8 inch circle and mounted it on a Real Red punched flower from the Boho Blossoms punch. I used the largest flower-the one that looks like a sunburst. So, the inside is a big, blank canvas of Soft Sky with this little layered "love you" in the middle.
The outside of the card is covered with little black paw prints and couple of bands of October Afternoon Blue & White Motel. I also added a couple of punched zig zag border pieces because, for some reason I had a little Charlie Brown moment when I was putting this together. I colored the dogs with Copics (of course) and finished it off with a trio of buttons.
As always, thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!
