Candles on the Cake

Hello!
Boy, Monday sure comes around quickly doesn't it? We had a very nice weekend though- bright and sunny both days. I probably should have hauled my sorry patookus outside to rake leaves but I managed to find any number of other things to do instead... Isn't that usually the way?
Today, I have another birthday card to share with you. I dug through the archives a bit for this one and pulled out Along the Same Lines for the main image. It's stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics. The card itself is a half sheet of Buckaroo Blue folded in half and layered with a piece of Dusty Durango DSP and a strip of Crushed Curry that I ran through my crimper. The lace punch edge is a Martha Stewart punch called Quilted. I hand trimmed the cake piece and layered it on Dusty Durango and Crushed Curry. Finally, I added a trio of coordinating buttons that I hand tied with some waxed thread. It's interesting to work with because it tends to be a bit sticky, but I like how it looks.
Have a wonderful day!
