Rosy Congratulations

Good morning! I hope you're all enjoying your Labor Day weekend. Our weather here in MN has been a combination of cloudy and sunny so we really can't complain. At least we're able to open up the windows, give the A/C a break and enjoy some fresh air. Summer seems to be making a graceful exit but a few more weeks of this sort of weather would be fine with me!
Today I'll be spending most of the day working on my mom's birthday present - I promised to make her Christmas cards this year. I have about 25 more to go out of a total of 50. Here's the kicker though; she wants them to all be different! I've brainstormed a few of them myself, but I'm doing a lot of CASEing too!
Today's card is a wedding card / anniversary card. I tried my hand at the pleated ribbon thing and have to say, it's a little tricky getting the pleats even. Worth the effort though because it really adds to the card. The flower is a combination of Sizzix Birds and Blooms die, a little EK Success flower punch and the Boho Blossoms punch plus the little tiny flower from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack. Can you say "extra postage"? The floral stamps are from a now retired SU! set called Flowers for a Friend. I found it matches beautifully with the Flowers Spring embossing folder from Sizzix.
Here's the rest of the recipe:
S: Congrats, Flowers for a Friend
P: Pretty in Pink, Pirouette Pink, Regal Rose, Certainly Celery, white
I: Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Kiwi Kiss, Old Olive
A: Ribbon, Sizzix- Birds and Blooms die, Boho Blossoms punch, EK Success small flower punch, brad, Martha Steward leaf punch, Itty Bitty Punch Pack, Sizzix Flowers Spring embossing folder

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your day!
