Good morning!
Today I have a sympathy card from the Stamp A Stack event to share with you. It's a very simple card, and very easy to put together quickly if necessary. I did, however, have a few questions on what's the best way to work with wheels so that the images transfers properly. Truthfully, I think it just takes some practice. I guess when I stamp or wheel, I pay fairly close attention to whether or not I can feel that the rubber is actually hitting the paper the way it should. Wheels really aren't all that different. As for rolling them straight, half the battle there is to not obsess about it. The other half is to slow down and make sure that you can feel that the wheel is really hitting the paper all the way across. If you're really worried about getting it straight, line one edge of the wheel up with the spine of a thick magazine and use that as a "bowling bumper" of sorts. In the case of this particular card, it's useful to remember that even if the edge of the wheel doesn't transfer completely near the center of the card, that strip of Handsome Hunter will cover it up! Never underestimate the benefits of layering to hide mistakes! lol!
I'm not really going to go into too much detail on this one because it is so simple, but there are a couple tips to note. The ribbon is wrapped around the Handsome Hunter strip and the ends are secured behind. You use less ribbon this way! Also, the main focal image is stamped, trimmed and layered first on Handsome Hunter then again on Sahara Sand before I popped it up on dimensionals to give the card a little lift. It was looking a bit flat before I did that.
As always, thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!
