Well, here we are...finally wrapping up the last card from the Stamp A Stack event and I saved the best for last!
This one is a monochromatic wedding card that makes use of both plain ivory and Stardreams cardstock to create a multi-layered, punched and embossed wedding confection. What is really cool about this card is that it looks way more complicated than it really is. As you can see, stamping is minimal and the glamour is all tied up in the layers, punching and embossing. I used two different Cuttlebug embossing folders (Dots and Tapestry Texture) plus a couple of different punches (Martha Stewart Garden Trellis and EK Success 6 petal jumbo daisy) The center flower is actually ivory pearl wedding confetti that I found at Target and came with the center already glittered. (Note: Due to strict rules regarding glitter and cards sent to troops, we turned these upside down for the troop cards and sealed any glitter that might come off with a glue dot.)
So, here's how it all comes together. The card is a half sheet of Classic Crest Ivory folded. The next layer is a panel of the same ivory embossed with the Cuttlebug Dots folder. Next is a 2 inch strip of Stardreams ivory punched with the Martha Stewart Garden Trellis border punch. Over that I layered a 1 inch strip of the same Stardreams that I embossed with the Cuttlebug Tapestry Texture folder. Next, I stamped the sentiment and flourish from Lifetime of Happiness in Gold Encore and layered that on a slightly larger piece of Stardreams. Finally, I punched a large daisy (EK Success 6 petal daisy) from Stardreams and layered it with a pre-made confetti daisy. The rest of the verse "...and a wonderful beginning" is stamped with Gold Encore inside.
