Hello!
I hope your week is off to a great start! My weekend was busy but I think I got quite a bit done! Of course I started off Saturday morning with a facial thanks to a Simonsen's Day Spa gift card that I've been hoarding. Okay, so I probably have no business admitting this but at 40-something this is the first facial I've ever had. Yes, I know. Crazy right? Well, what can I say? I don't get out much. Anyway, it was fabulous and now I'm probably addicted. I also did a cosmetics deal after the facial so I can now say I know how to apply the stuff. I was probably a bit overdue to learn that as well... lol!
So, how timely does all that make this card??? Actually it occurred to me that sometimes the sentiments that come with stamp sets are harder to work with because they seem to point toward things that we normally don't celebrate. I had a discussion not so long ago about this particular sentiment and whether the recipient would take it as it is intended - as encouragement- or if it could be construed as - dare to be fabulous because normally you aren't- Yikes! Who wants to send that message?! Well, anyway, if you were giving someone a spa certificate this sentiment would work great right?
Okay, enough rambling.
The card base is a 5 x 10 piece of Bazzill Ocean layered on a 5-1/4 square of Pacific Point. I layered a strip of Pacific Point together with a punched piece of Whisper White. The punch is one of the new Martha Stewart punches called Doily Lace. Next, I stamped the big flower from Fabulous Flowers three times with Pacific Point ink on Whisper White and cut them out in graduated sizes. Note, I stamped one off to get the lighter color on the middle layer and I popped the top two layers up on dimensionals. The greeting is also stamped with Pacific Point and layered on the same. A few gemstones in different sizes frame the flower and finish it off nicely.

The inside matches of course. I reversed colors a bit and punched Pacific Point with the MS Flower Bed punch and then added the flower-stamped strip plus a couple of small flowers in the bottom left corner.
As always, thanks for stopping in! Dare to have a fabulous week!
