Thoroughly Modern Valentine

Well, here it is Monday already. I'm not sure where my weekend went to, but I do know I had fun! I hope all of you did too!
Today I thought I would share one of those easel cards with you. Beate Johns has a great tutorial for this on Splitcoast if you're interested. Of course, they're fun to make, so by all means give it a try! I'll have a few more of these to show you a little later on too including a square version.
For this one here, I started with a Soft Suede card base and added a trio of patterns from the Thoroughly Modern paper pack. I also tried out my new Pinking Hearts border punch and I LOVE it! So cute!
Once I had the card pretty much assembled with the designer papers in place, I tied the ribbon on and then went to work stamping. Everything is stamped in Soft Suede and Melon Mambo on Whisper White with a little Melon Mambo sponging on the edges of the sentiment and the flourish piece. I layered the latter on Soft Suede before adhering it to the card.
Thanks for popping in! Hope to see you again soon!
