A solitary pine

Hello everyone! Wow, I hope that wherever you are it's warm! We have another sunny day here but cripes is it cold! Even the dog has his doubts about being out in it for very long. When he starts dancing I know his tootsies are getting cold and we've done a lot of dancing today!

But enough of that. I have a card to share with you today that sort of fills in a "Masculine" card gap. I mentioned earlier that my card box at work was a bit on the thin side for men's thank you cards so this is one that I designed to fill that need. I also managed to use up a few scraps of designer paper which is always nice.
The card is a half sheet of Old Olive folded in half and layered with two pieces of coordinating designer paper. The mottled green is from a paper stack by ProvoCraft, and the stripe is from Basic Grey. The dark chocolate band across the middle is actually some satin ribbon I had and I layered the thin strip of Old Olive over the top of that. The sentiment and tree are stamped in Old Olive on Very Vanilla and layered on Chocolate Chip. I went over the branches and trunk of the tree with my Chocolate Chip marker to define them a bit and used my Word Window and small oval punches to turn my sentiment into a label. The little brads are from one of the Hodgepodge hardware sets.
As always, thanks for stopping by! Stay warm!
