Kitty Love

Hello! Thanks for stopping by today. I'm off in a couple of hours for a day of stamping with friends but I wanted to share a sweet valentine I made last weekend in one of my all-weekend-long stamping frenzies. I stocked up big time on valentines so the next month of posts will pretty much be one valentine after another. You have to let me know if you go on heart overload!
This card uses a Penny Black stamp that I've had for a while. Long enough, in fact, that I'm not even sure if it's one of my stamps or one of the ones my pal Twyla bought. Obviously it's time to do an inventory of stamps again!
Anywhoo, I started with my Sweetheart Kitty and Basic Gray ink. I stamped it on Very Vanilla and used ink pads and a water pen to color in kitty and heart.  The edges are all sponged with Positively Pink and Real Red and I sponged lightly around the kitty and heart too so it had a rosy glow. Then, I coated the entire heart with 2-way glue and glittered it up. The eyelets were added to the corners after I layered the piece on Cameo Coral.
The card itself is a 5 x 10 piece of Very Vanilla folded in half and layered on Cameo Coral. I stamped the heart from Darling Dots randomly with Cameo Coral to create a background then cut and Cuttlebugged a strip of Cameo Coral. The ribbon is cut just a bit longer than the Cameo Coral strip and the ends are tucked to the back side before I adhered it to the card. The sentiment is stamped with Basic Gray on Very Vanilla and sponged to match the kitty piece. I manipulated it with my fingers a bit to get it to curve a little and then used dimensionals to attach it to the kitty piece which is also attached to the card with dimensionals.

Thanks for looking!
