Hello!
I think it's time for a few valentine cards, don't you? Now that the Christmas holiday is behind us, I've been working on a few ideas and here's one to get things started. Actually this card sort of started out slow and just evolved as I went along. I kept adding little things here and there and before I knew it I had a really cute card! I love it when that happens!
The card is a piece of Natural Ivory folded in half and layered on a quarter sheet of Pomegranate (The Paper Co). I stamped the hearts repeatedly with Real Red on the face and then set it aside for a bit. The "Love you much" is stamped with Real Red on Very Vanilla, colored with Cameo Coral and Old Olive markers and glittered. The heart with the little flowers on it was colored with my Cameo Coral marker and stamped to the right side. Then, I stamped the flower part again, punched it out and made a little glossy brad with my Build - A - Brad kit. Once the brad was inserted I layered the piece on another piece of Pomegranate and then on Regal Rose that I left a little long on one end. I punched a slot (Slot punch) on the end, ran my ribbon through and then tied the whole piece on the card (with the help of a little adhesive). To finish this part off I stamped the heart trio again with Real Red, punched them out with the Heart Trio punch and used either dimensionals or a glue dot to hold them in place. The middle-sized heart is layered on Pomegranate and hand trimmed. Finally, the birds are stamped with Basic Black on Vanilla, colored with the Cameo Coral marker and glittered before adding a layer of Pomegranate behind. A little pearl heart (Hero Arts) above their heads finishes it all off. Cute right? Now...who shall I give it to???
Thanks for stopping in for a visit!
