Good morning!!
I hope you're all as excited about Christmas as I am despite the stress of mailing packages, last minute shopping, and pending relative visits (however delightful they may be). I'm off work all of this next week which is wonderful, because my mom will be here with us, but just having a few days off is lovely all by itself. I know I won't get to do much stamping during that time, but I have lot's of stuff all lined up for you to see.
Today's card is a sparkly bit of winter that came about because I had these snowflake pieces left over from another project. The blue glitter paper was some that I found at Target in their new 99 cent scrapbooking section. You can see this in the detail shot a little better, but the white snowflake (Cuttlebug Ice Crystal die) is actually the part that was cut out of the blue glitter paper. The little snowflake in the center with the gemstone brad is from Spellbinders Create a Flake 2 and the frame (Stardreams white) is Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Squares small with a Spellbinders Labels 2 piece cut out of the middle. All of these pieces are adhered together with the gemstone brad inserted last. I did it this way so that the brad wasn't visible on the inside of the card.
The front of the card is covered with a layer of Whisper White that I embossed with the Cuttlebug Snowflakes folder. I ran it through twice to get the whole piece. Next came the previously assembled snowflake/frame piece, ribbon and gemstones. I adhered the whole thing to the front of a piece of American Crafts white textured cardstock that I cut 5 x 10 and folded. The entire card is layered on a 5-1/4 square of Stardreams white.
Thanks for looking!
