Turn up the heat

Hello again!
Today I have a birthday card that my pal Twyla and I made over the weekend for her significant other who, much to his chagrin, is turning 40. As you can see, we did our level best to rub it in!

The card is a half sheet (12 x 6) folded in half and lined with a square of white. The top third is stamped with Lots of Spots in white craft ink and the lower half is layered with a piece of Brilliant Blue -edge punched with the EK Success Zig Zag punch- and another of American Crafts Elegant Pinstripe. The cake (Birthday Whimsy) is stamped with Brilliant Blue on Whisper White twice. The first is layered on Basic Black and again on Brilliant Blue and the second is cut out and mounted up on dimensionals. I colored the flames with Crushed Curry and added a mini gemstone to each one plus a trio of black gemstones in the corners. The sentiment (Sassy Suzie) is stamped and layered in the same manner and mounted up on dimensionals. I tied the ribbon and then added the cake piece.
The inside, is trimmed out to match with the addition of a black ballon in the corner. (Birthday Whimsy)

As always, thanks for stopping in!
