Wow! Christmas is only days away, and today I'm off to Fargo, ND to pick up my mom and bring her back to the Twin Cities for Christmas. I spent the weekend getting the house ready for her visit and generally restoring some order! It's amazing how much of a mess we can all create in a short amount of time.
Anyway, I promised to share another of these fun little boxes with you before Christmas so here we are. This one is the larger, modified size that I came up with that uses a full 12x12 piece of cardstock for the box base. For those of you who are interested, here is the link to the original creator. Magic Boxes. The details for creating these are quite long so please visit Elaine's site for all that info. Remember to convert to inches if you aren't savvy on the whole metric system though!
I added a bit more detail on the flowers for this version, as you can see from the closeup. My friend Twyla made one of these at the same time and we had glitter everywhere but they sure turned out pretty! You'll note that I also doubled the number of flowers in this size box so it really pops when you open the lid. I've had nothing but oohs and ahhs on these and what a stroke to my creative ego that is! : )
I've included a closeup of the lid too so you can see that better.
Merry Christmas everyone! Now, I'm off on my little road trip! I'll be back soon!
