Hello again!
It's really been a lazy weekend here. Mostly because I caught a cold virus and feel really lousy. I'm actually between naps and my creativity is at an all-time low so I'm going to take this week off for the Sunday Stash Challenge. I promise to come back next week with something wonderful plus a few goodies in between now and then as I can get them posted. I'll also have the winner of the blog candy from this past week!
In the meantime, I wanted to at least share something pretty with you before I crawl back under my rock.
Last weekend, my friend Twyla was over and she tossed this frame my way that was left over from another project where we had used the cut out Nestability. I think it was a test to see if I could do something with it... we'll see if she thinks I passed that test! I used up a few other leftovers piled up on my table too so all in all it was a good challenge!
The card base is a half sheet of Pink Pirouette that I stamped with a little freebie stamp that we just got. I used Rose Red ink. Next I stamped the branch from Friends 24-7 on a piece of Very Vanilla with Chocolate Chip and colored it with my Rose Red marker. I stamped it again on another piece of Very Vanilla and cut it out. The bird is stamped with Rose Red on Very Vanilla and cut as well. I snuggled him into the branch to disguise the fact that his feet are missing. oops! : ) Both the branch and the bird are mounted up on dimensionals so they pop off the card a bit. Next I attached the Nestabilities frame to the stamped branch piece, paper pierced a bit in the corners and used a few more dimensionals to adhere the whole piece to the face of the card. A couple of tiny pearls in the corners and in the flower centers finished the whole thing off.
Thanks for stopping by!
Make sure you stop back again! Next week I'll have a new Sunday Stash Challenge to share and new blog candy!
