The Fish are Biting!

Happy Saturday! Oh, I'm so glad it's the weekend again. I haven't accomplished a darn thing all week but there's just something about a Saturday that helps me hit the reset button and feel better about being a lazy slug all week. You probably noticed I let the blog slide this week too. Let's just say it's been one of those stretches where I couldn't get motivated to do much of anything and leave it at that.

To atone for my sins, I have a pretty cool card to share with you today. I'm still in the Father's Day frame of mind, so this one is well suited to that despite the fact that this card is actually a retirement card. Swap out the "Congratulations" and insert a "Happy Father's Day" and you're set!

Interestingly enough, I don't have a lot of fishermen in my life, but I always like how the cards I've made with these fishy-sort of stamps turn out. I used some fairly standard masculine colors, kept the design simple and limited my embellishments to the metallic variety. Here are the rest of the details:

Stamps: Fly Fishing, Round of Applause (Fiskars) Paper: Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Tan textured (American Crafts) Ink: Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke Accessories: Dotted Wave punch (EK Success), Antique Copper brads, dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by!
