Lemon Blooms

Wow! Where has this week gone? Here I am at Wednesday already- how did that happen? I was trying to be so good about posting every day too. Well, to atone for my sins, here's a bit of sun-shiny cheer for you. I was playing around with some colored glitter I have in my stash and testing the waters with my new Echoes of Kindness set plus a little water coloring and I have to admit I like how this turned out. We've been getting a bit of sunshine this week so this card fits right in.

The card itself is a standard A2 in Certainly Celery. Over that I layered a 4 x 5-1/4 piece of sunny yellow plaid dsp
(ProvoCraft), and another 5 x 2 piece of a daisy print dsp (ProvoCraft). The flowers are stamped with Stazon black on Whisper White and then water colored with pastels and a water pen. Once I had the coloring done, I "colored" all the flowers in with my 2-way glue pen and liberally sprinkled them with yellow glitter. I also lightly sponged the edges of the white with YoYo Yellow ink to give it a little sunny "glow" ,layered it on a piece of Certainly Celery and then adhered it to the card. I finished it off with a little yellow ribbon (Offray).
