White Weddings

I have a friend who’s getting married soon so I started working out ideas for a card for her and her fiancé. White on white always says wedding so I started there and let the rest just fall into place. Well, I guess that’s not strictly true. I did have this new Dove embossing folder to try out... Since I’m still in my square card mood I stayed with that and went to work.* The card is 5-1/4 square finished. I started with a 5-1/4 x 10-1/2 piece of Stardreams Pearl cardstock folded in half. On this I layered a 5 x 4 inch square of Whisper White that I ran through the Swiss Dots embossing folder. The lace edge is a 1 x 5 inch strip of Whisper White punched with the Martha Stewart lace scallop border punch and adhered to the inside edge of the card. Next I cut a 3-3/16 inch square of Stardreams Pearl and attached it to the card. The dove is embossed on a 3 inch square of Whisper White and then raised up on dimensionals. To finish it off I tied a piece of white organdy ribbon around the top and voila! I think it’s pretty, don’t you?
Stamps & Ink: None Paper: Stardreams Pearl, Whisper White Accessories: Cuttlebug-Swiss Dots embossing folder, Dove embossing folder, 7/8” white organdy ribbon, dimensionals, Martha Stewart lace scallop punch
*NOTE: I actually started two of these at the same time but I modified the second one just a bit by omitting the lace scallop punch along the bottom, and adding glitter to the top dove piece. Otherwise all the sizing and assembly is the same. Here's the other card.
