I have a friend who’s getting married soon so I started working out ideas for a card for her and her fiancé. White on white always says wedding so I started there and let the rest just fall into place. Well, I guess that’s not strictly true. I did have this new Dove embossing folder to try out... Since I’m still in my square card mood I stayed with that and went to work.* The card is 5-1/4 square finished. I started with a 5-1/4 x 10-1/2 piece of Stardreams Pearl cardstock folded in half. On this I layered a 5 x 4 inch square of Whisper White that I ran through the Swiss Dots embossing folder. The lace edge is a 1 x 5 inch strip of Whisper White punched with the Martha Stewart lace scallop border punch and adhered to the inside edge of the card. Next I cut a 3-3/16 inch square of Stardreams Pearl and attached it to the card. The dove is embossed on a 3 inch square of Whisper White and then raised up on dimensionals. To finish it off I tied a piece of white organdy ribbon around the top and voila! I think it’s pretty, don’t you?
