Funk-alicious Birthday Wishes

Is this little Trendy Trees set not the cutest! It zipped right to the top of my wishlist when the new SU! catalog came out along with the matching Funky Trees wheel. They make me think of my pre-teen years - which was a ways back let me tell you! The colors I picked for this card are straight out of the 70s- gee can you guess where those pre-teen years were??? My bedroom at the time, which I shared with my middle sister were these colors and while I hated them then, they do hold a nostalgic appeal today. My card is pretty basic really.

I used the wheel with Kiwi Kiss ink to cover the face of my Kiwi Kiss card and then mounted it on a quarter sheet of Tangerine Tango. Next I wheeled the trees with Chocolate Chip ink on a strip of Whisper White and mounted that to 1/4 inch wider strip of Chocolate Chip. On a 2 inch square of Whisper White I stamped a couple different trees and then layered it on a 1/8 inch larger piece of So Saffron and then on another 1/8 inch larger piece of Chocolate Chip. Before adhering the strip of trees down I used my daubers to smoodge a little color on them with So Saffron and Tangerine Tango and then tied a piece of kiwi-vanilla ribbon around the right end. The square tag is mounted over that on dimensionals. Last I stamped the little circle Birthday Wishes (Stampendous) on Whisper white, punched it with my 1 inch circle punch and layered it on a 1-1/8 inch circle of Chocolate Chip. For a little interest I inserted a small flower brad in the center and then mounted it to the card with another dimensional. Play that funky music...
